SCOPE OF WORK
GV Engineering, LLC. (GV) prepared the demolition procedure packages for the contractors for removal and disposal of  the original elevated six-line highway, known as the Central Artery, its original and temporary Ramps and temporary underpinning structures Viaducts and Ramps in Boston, MA. GV analyzed the capacity of the Viaduct and Ramps to assure they could safely support their own weight, wind loads and loads from construction equipment during all stages of demolition.  Safe lift loads were established and several types of hoisting equipment were selected for each contract to allow completion of demolition without delays.
